As Nym, Darvin, and Talathel each wake up, they find themselves lying in their beds, with a damp cloth on their foreheads, and a little light streaming through the portholes. By the look of the light, it is midafternoon, and there is a sailor sitting in the room, watching over each of you. Talathel is being looked after by Lailsan, Darvin by Greg, and Nym by Kailina. Lailsan and Greg are currently napping, Greg snoring softly. Kailina is writing in a small book. She doesn't notice Nym waking up.

A Re-Awakening
As Nym, Darvin, and Talathel each wake up, they find themselves lying in their beds, with a damp cloth on their foreheads, and a little light streaming through the portholes. By the look of the light, it is midafternoon, and there is a sailor sitting in the room, watching over each of you. Talathel is being looked after by Lailsan, Darvin by Greg, and Nym by Kailina. Lailsan and Greg are currently napping, Greg snoring softly. Kailina is writing in a small book. She doesn't notice Nym waking up.

Slightly disoriented, Nym continues to lay in her hammock as she blinks dumbly at Kailina and the room. Pipper is laying on her stomach and stretches is legs and yawns like he's just woke up from a good nap. He then lays his head down on Nym's chest and watches her with interest.
ReplyDeleteNym slowly regains her bearings, recalling what happened, and smiles at Pipper. He takes this as a sign she wants her face cleaned with his smelly tongue and goes to town. Nym giggles at this, which causes Kailina to look up surprised to see Nym finally awake.
"Welcome back, little sister," Kailina says, smiling in relief and happiness. Nym smiles back and hops down from the hammock awkwardly. As soon as she's standing, she realizes she's both incredibly hungry and thirsty. Nym looks around for a quick snack, which luckily Kailina had prepared just in case Nym woke up. Nym and Pipper ate and drank happily before deciding to check on Darvin and Talathel's return. "Where's Beranhond?" Nym asks Kailina as she pushes the door open to Darvin's room.
