Going on a rat hunt

Beranhond nodded politely at the halfling, glad that at least they could be cordial, but ignored the rest of his self-important speech. He was too busy being angry at himself for letting his anger come through - it had often caused problems while in training at the citadel and he was determined not let it happen again. Further, the halfling gave off vibes of a hypocrite - someone who was arrogant and prideful and projected that onto others. He had been taught by Torm to smite such people... and by Narath to ignore them. He agreed more with Narath and decided to not feed the short one's ego by getting angry at his impertinence, probably to ignore the obnoxious ones existence. Be the better person. He thought to himself. You had too many of those rages before, you had been doing well, now do better. Fortunately, Narath was easy come easy go in her strictures, so he didn't have to do the hours of meditation that Torm required. He sighed, thanking once again the paths that had led him away from Torm..
"Thank you Hring, it is an honor to be received in such a magnificent house as this. I also thank you for attempting to do some good for this troubled city." A bit stiff, but workable. He thought nodding back towards their host.
"I think a bit of surveying, while you gather ingredients would be a good idea Gurkirat. I will have a host of cats coming soon, but, I am not the most sneaky, perhaps Darvin wouldn't mind leading that expedition?"
