The spell list... I was too lazy to put them all up last night.

The box!
Beranhond shook his head, feeling suprising rested. He followed them into the other room and saw the box he had examined.
"Basically, it is a box that does wizards spells. Each side is a different spell, one lets you move things, one does light, etc. All you need to know how to do to use it is to say the draconic word."

Step 2: Put Your Junk in That Box
Here is a picture of the box, as it is still sitting on the table in the other room, and Beranhond has yet to explain what it does... I had a lot of fun making it, at least. :D

magic in the bones
"It is extremely magical Talathel." Oddly so... where did this thing come from? "The writing is draconic, so it is perhaps a product of the dragonborns. Where did you find it?"
A little alone time
"Excuse me for just one second." He says to Hring, Darvin, and Talathel. Before backing out of the study. In the hallways he closes his eyes.
"All done... my prophet." Her voice faded from his mind. Beranhond walks back into the room, raises he hands and casts 'detect magic.'
I am going to be focusing for three rounds, which according to the book, allows me to use spellcraft"

"Narath... could I ask a favor?"
"Certainly, what can I do for you?"
"Could you change up my spell 'create water' with 'detect magic'. I thought the city might need some fresh water, but that hasn't turned out to be the case."
"Certainly Eth, it will take just a moment." Beranhond kept his eyes closed and thus missed the flash of pink light that filled the room."All done... my prophet." Her voice faded from his mind. Beranhond walks back into the room, raises he hands and casts 'detect magic.'

Riddles...?
Walking closer Beranhond searches his magical training for any memory of such an object.

Beranhond has heard descriptions of magical boxes similar to this before, but has never seen one. All he has heard is that they are extremely useful to have, spellcaster or not, and that they are pretty rare. Also, it seems that every one he'd heard of had different properties, and from the rumors, it was unclear if that was because the people spreading them were telling tales or because they truly were all different.

Why can't you see?
Talathel was increasingly frustrated with this language. It was as if the details of this cube were taunting him with their obviousness but at the same time revealing nothing. He swore in elven, a word or two may have been recognized by Darvin, but he was certain most of his vocabulary would be interpreted as an attempt to read the cube.
Talathel looked at Hring and Darvin. He noticed they were not studying the cube as closely as he expected. They were intrigued, yes, but they weren't trying to decipher the words on the cube.
"What do you guys think it says?"the elf said, with a sense of urgency. Blank stares.

Talathel noticed Ethelred enter the room. If he was trying to sneak up on us, he did a lousy job.
"Ethelred! Do you see anything on this cube. I'm starting to think I've gone and lost my mind."
