Arise, Arise!

Darvin woke to the hustle and bustle on the deck above him. He was still a little annoyed that Beranhond had given away the Captain's cabin without consulting him but he would live. Darvin had slept great the night before, he always slept well on the water. The rocking of the ship would gently sent him to his peaceful slumber. He walked out on to the deck and saw Beranhond leading the more pious individuals in pray. Darvin shook his head and smiled. He also noticed Talathel and Lailsan approaching him, Talathel looked different this morning. His eyes weren't glazed over in the constant state of hangover that was normally associated with the elf and mornings.

Talathel then explained that he and Lailsan were trying to figure out what she could do on the ship. It was revealed that she was a pretty decent cook and since the Lady Narath didn't have one of those Darvin quickly promoted her to the position. About this time Beranhond was finishing up with his prayer session.

"Beranhond, could you please get all hands on deck? It's time for some training." Darvin said.

  1. "Of course." Beranhond, set aside the notebook full of watch charts and rang the bell.
"All hands on deck!" Normally this bell was used to keep track of time and the watches, but it also served to alert the crew. The few remaining crew who remained below scampered up the ladders and assembled onto the deck.
