Time of Trial

Darvin walked into the room of the courthouse to find his friends standing around looking at Talathel who was bound in chains. Darvin looked at the people in the room and noticed a very pretty elf maiden who was looking longingly at Talathel. Darvin figured it out pretty quickly.

"Guards didn't like watching you fuck, eh?" Darvin said to Talathel. Everyone in the group turned to look at him. He winked at Nym.

"Now lets get this trial started."

  1. "Only one of them minded. I think it was more out of jealousy than anything. We elves...well, we have our tricks."

Lailsan blushed. Sabry played with her hair. Colin wished he had a very sharp sword.

  2. Nym giggled at Talathel's situation and blushed from Darvin's wink, having missed the insinuation but enjoying the attention from him nonetheless.

  4. As you walk into the building, a kind of hush falls over you, as the large stone building absorbs the sound of footfalls and the movement of bodies in and out of the structure. The building is somewhat busy, and many people stop to gawk at the four people standing and talking near the door. Most of them are heading in from the doors you came in through and heading to another door on the other side of the large receiving area you are standing in.

As you notice the people around you, you also notice the sound of clapping and laughing from the other side of several pillars. On hearing the noise, Nym motions with a finger over her mouth for silence, then sneaks over to the closest pillar, peeking around cautiously, as if whatever was causing the clapping and laughing might bite her. She spies a group of about 15 to 20 people of various shapes and sizes faced in to the middle of their small huddle.

Suddenly, Gurkirat's voice pipes in, "Ho there, Nym! I've given this crowd about all the show I can manage. What say we head to the trial?" As the people part, Nym sees Gurkirat standing on top of a small stool. He bows his thanks to the people applauding him, puts his clarinet away, and joins Nym.

  5. Gurkirat walks with Nym to the rest of the group. "I think the groups of people walking through that door are trying to see our trial." He motions to the people walking through the door on the other side of the receiving area. "They started trickling in about 15 minutes ago, and they're now pretty steady. I would say there are probably 60 or 70 people in there now."

As everyone follows Gurkirat's movement, they see the scribe from the morning walking toward them from a side door. As she arrives at the group, she greets them. "Hello, adventurers. Are you prepared for your trial?"

  6. Nym looks from the scribe to Beranhond, not really sure what will happen.

  7. "We are. I must admit that I was quite wrong about you - your choice of guards was quite excellent, and their holiness and goodness should never have been doubted. Thank you for such thoughtful choices."
