The Quest Continues...

Nym ran onto the deck when she heard someone yell they were approaching Waterdeep. She watched excitedly from the forecastle for a bit and then went below and began packing her belongings to continue her journey. She brushed Nesme as her ship docked and then went to her room to write a letter which she carefully folded and slipped under Darvin's door. She finished readying Nesme with her saddlebags and quietly led the horse off the ship.

For a moment she hesitated and looked back toward the ship, but as she gazed back, she set her jaw and made her way into Waterdeep. It was around noon, so once she was in the thick of the city, she stopped at an inn for lunch and to ask for any news a traveler on her way to Silverymoon may want to know.

Her sweet smile and easy laugh won over most of the people she talked with.

What does she learn about the road to Silverymoon?

  1. The trip to Silverymoon generally takes 4 1/2 days on foot. On a horse, you will arrive on the evening of the third day. The path has not been well traveled for the past month, because of the animal and undead attacks, but before that, the road was mostly safe. There have been some bandits on the road at times, and you should be especially careful around the badlands near Red Larch and the swampland of The Evermoors.

Red Larch and Triboar are small towns. Red Larch is distinguished as having built and maintained the stone bridge for the past couple hundred years. Triboar is a walled outpost for restocking supplies and offers some trade to travelers from both of the roads it sits on. Yartar is slightly larger, (about 20,000 people) and has one of the larger inland temples to Istishia. Everlund is a small mining and fishing community, and Silverymoon is a cultural crossroads, seen as the prime signatory state of the Confederation of the Silver Marches.
