To speed things up.

As soon as Beranhond had finished that statement he stopped and started another thought.
"You know what, leave that to me. I will handle that. You need to go pack up some supplies in the hold, grab some trusted travel companions and get on the road. Nevermind, I will go pack the supplies for you. You should go assemble some traveling companions." Beranhond grabbed Darvin by his arm and pulled him out of his chair, out the door and thrust him towards the crew. Beranhond then headed down the ladder and into the hold. He grabbed a pack and started throwing food, several flasks of water, and other travel supplies into it. When he returned he through the pack to Darvin.
"Best go and hire some horses as well. I would say we could take the ship up the river to Goldenfields, but that is off the main road and probably not the route she took in either case."

  1. Taking his cue from the captain, Talathel quickly retrieves his own flasks and takes a few pulls.

"No answers here," he said with a grin. Darvin was not up for a little humor.

"What would you like me to do?"

  2. Flask. Singular. Talathel is not that much of a drunkard...yet...shut up.

  3. I like the idea of him downing from two different flasks. One could be the mixers and the other the alcohol.

  4. "In this flask...I have burbon. In this flask...sweet vermouth. Now, surely someone in Waterdeep has a bit of grenadine and bitters. Faerun Manhattans for all!

  5. Darvin was startled by this sudden change in Beranhond.

"What are you up too?" Darvin asked. "And if I am selecting traveling companions then I'm taking the two of you. Thjodolf, Scriptus, Codex and Carlinya can take care of the ship. What is going on?"

  6. "I will be off to the Goldenfields. The attacks have died down in the region, so you should be plenty safe on the roads." Beranhond paused, putting his hand on Darvin's shoulder, awkwardly. "No one has heard from the Druids in quite some time - I intend to travel there, perhaps with some of the temple here, and see what has happened. Plus, this way we can kill two birds with one stone and by the time you get back we might be able to set sail for a more place exotic. However, if you don't come back in one piece I will end you!" With his final statement Beranhond pointed a crooked finger at Darvin - the end result being that his finger actually pointed at Talathel.

  7. "We'll be departing soon. Allow me to inform Lailsan of our plan and then Darvin and I will go into the city and gather up supplies for out journey."
