Purple Worm

All of a sudden a large whole in the ground opened up. As you turn you see a large purplish worm burst out.
"Greetings fools." It said in a slimy tone. "I was looking for some breakfast... I think you shall do nicely."

Please roll initiative.

Nym huffs loudly in annoyance. "Why does everything bigger than me always want to eat me?" Pipper cowers behind Nym.

"I suggest you look elsewhere." No blood was drawn, but the giant worm gave a yelp in pain.

  6. Talathel looks back at Nym.

"Aren't most things bigger than you?"

  7. "I'm really starting to hate this place..." Says Darvin to no one in particular.

  10. Druuv puts her long arms to good use, immediately reaching out and touching the worm, simultaneously saying, "Bop bop doo-wop! You're tired!" Oddly enough, the worm seems to become more tired as she does this.

    Your turn Nym.

  13. Seeing the worm bite Darvin quite badly, Nym exclaims "Faaaarf!" (which was supposed to be "Hey jerk, don't bite my friends!" But there was a lot of blood and she was surprised), hops backwards and is now standing next to the army goblin lady, and sends two more magic missiles at the worm. As Nym moves, Pipper yipes and runs after her once again cowering behind her.

  14. Hey, I can't use the spreadsheet at work. Can someone tell me if this attack hits? Thanks. Also, Whittaker, did you decrease the worm's AC, Attack and Damage, because of the 2 damage to its Str and Dex?

Druuv continues grabbing at the worm and casting spells, this time saying, "Bitty botty, a chilled you should be!"

    vs. Touch AC: Roll(1d20)+5:

  17. It definitely passed. Its strength was not zapped again. :)

  18. I didn't really explain before, but the -2 to Str and -2 to Dex comes from the worm being fatigued. That will last for 5 rounds.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I am sure the creature will be dead by then. Inshahallah.

  22. Deciding to try a slightly different approach, Druuv pulls her hands back and a golden brown ray shoots from her palm at the worm. It strikes the worm just below its mouth, leaving a bleeding gash. "Tee hee ho! That was nice!" Druuv exclaimed, putting her hand up for Nym to give her a high five.

  23. Nym sends another pair of magic missiles at the worm and watches Druuv gash the worm from a blast from her palm. Druuv then held up her hand to Nym. Nym looked from the outstretched palm to the blasted worm and back, shrugged, and high fived the goblin lady.

The worm gives a pathetic whimper as it staggers back.

"Have at it, Killink! The beast is near its end!"

    ReplyDelete
  28. Again, Druuv let out a blast from her palm, hitting the worm in the head, and killing it. "What's Kilink?" She asked, before the beast had time to fall to the ground. She poked it several times with her long arms, checking to see if it was good and dead. It didn't move...

  29. "DARVIN!" Nym cried out as the worm died. He wasn't looking very well after being bitten twice by the worm. She ran up to him and inspected his wounds frantically. "If only we were on the ship! I have some herbs to stop the bleeding and sterilize this..." She had already turned and started running toward the sea while saying this. She ripped the hem off her nightgown and soaked it in the salt water before running back over to Darvin. "This is going to sting," she said as she squeezed salt water onto his bites. "Do you know where I might find a bit of birch or a bit of ginger?" she asked Druuv.
