Nym was quiet for a bit before saying, "it never is..." quietly. After Darvin calmed down, she gently pulled him to his feet and began walking him away from the destroyed camp.

ReplyDeleteAlso, WTF? Beranhond and Talathel just abandoned Nym and Darvin without even talking to them about it? That's super out of character for both of them. Talathel didn't check on his best friend after a suicide attempt and neither did the healer?!
I wouldn't say it is out of character for Beranhond. he has shown himself to be quite pragmatic and has wandered off many times before while just leaving vague instructions or a vague communication. He also figured that Nym would be much better suited to handle Darvin a the present time. Second, Beranhond is quite concerned about Nym and wanted to get Zalkar and his information away from her. He certainly didn't want to give her a chance to follow them to Thay. Talathel agreed with that assessment - and after all, they will be able to talk via the speaking stones.

ReplyDeleteRealizing after a few moments that Darvin and Nym were only beginning their session, the woman reached into her backpack without looking, retrieved a pen, an inkwell, and several sheets of paper. In an elegant flourishing script, she left a note for the two, which she left out in the open under a small rock about a yard away their feet. She then crept away and went back to look for alchemical components for her workbench.

ReplyDeleteAnother thing: Violet's not especially good at diplomacy, so she'd be bluffing or buying her way into a man's arms, which could make it even more creepy, if done wrong. She's also not especially good at sex, so it might not go so well once she was able to get a man in bed. That would be embarrassing, which might make up for a bit of the creepyness.
Violet will be looking for components for alchemical spells, but at the same time, looking out for a man who might be willing and who she finds attractive. What's my success rate like?

Also, in my defense about the whole creepiness thing, I could easily have interrupted, which I think Darvin would have especially minded. This was me being nice, and it turned out creepy because of that decision. So there!

So Half-elves have a 12.5% chance of getting pregnant according to the other non-BOUCK rulebook, but I have no idea how to work that other than that the DC must be pretty damn high. BOUCK is vague on how to do the check other than a DC (What is it, dammit!) against a constitution check. If you succeed, you have babies.
SO I'm figuring the DC for half-elves who have a 12.5% or about 3/20 so I'm setting the DC for 2 half elves gettin' it to have babies as 17.

Well, I imagine the chances of Gods getting pregnant is a completely different set of rules... that will be dealt with if that happens... Alan, just do a constitution check in the same format as Erin, that seems to work pretty well.
ReplyDeleteThe "performance" roles ups are actually just for situations where you don't want to do the actual rolls or write-ups. Obviously there couldn't be multiple orgasms within a three round sex act... unless Darvin is really special.
As Nym reads the note she sees several people step into the clearing. They are wearing long capes that are covered in flecks of mud and white shirts speckled with red spots. They are carrying long jagged swords and the one in back looks like he has a set of manacles.
