Violet Passes the Time (While Darvin and Nym Pass the Time...)

Whittaker, when you let me know if Violet finds any suitable men, please post the results here. I will leave the other post for Darvin and Nym's lovemaking session. Violet is especially interested in men who are in positions of power. Thanks!

  1. Reposting the GM's info, because he posted it in the wrong place. :)
As Violet wanders across the ruined camp she doesn't really find many men who would be open for a sexual encounter. Most of them are orcs who are hard at work clearing wreckage or trying to clear bodies or treat injuries.

She does see a few who could be intriguing, but isn't able to tell if they would be interested.

There also doesn't seem to be much in the way of alchemical supplies around - mostly burned tents.

  2. Violet goes in search of a place to set up a small work area so she can do something productive with her time while she waits. If there is no place to work, she will seek out a quiet place within view of the camp and write in her journal.

  3. As a reference, here are the Pathfinder rules for crafting poisons. Violet will be making use of these.

Poisons can be made using Craft (alchemy). The DC to make a poison is equal to its Fortitude save DC. Rolling a natural 1 on a Craft skill check while making a poison exposes the crafter to the poison. Crafters with the poison use class feature do not risk poisoning themselves when using Craft to make poison.

  5. Violet notices that the middle of the arena looks like a great place to work - the stands are mostly burned down, but the sand and open space means that it would be a good working area. She also notices that there is a burned body wearing black clothing in the middle of the space.

  6. I'll bite.

Violet walks around the area, making sure there are no odd chemicals in the air that might interfere, and notices the body laying in the middle of the arena. She finds it odd that it has not been attended to like the other bodies in the camp that are being prepared for their final rites by friends and leaders. She begins by inspecting the body without touching it. Satisfied that it is safe, she rolls the body over to get a better look at race, age, arms and armor, and any distinguishing marks.

  7. Though the man is wearing dark clothing his features, and subtle tattoos, clearly betray his Thayish origins. When Violet rolls the body over the previously closed eyelids open up and the body sits upright.
    Please roll initiative...

  8. In order to speed up combat please roll two attacks each time it is your turn, on the monster's turn it will also roll two attacks.

  9. Yay! My first combat! I will roll initiative tonight, when I can get access to my character sheet again. (It'll be around 5, I would expect.

ANDIf this is an undead, I now hate you. :)

Violet realizes the man is not fully dead in time to get a stab in before the zombie can attack her.

  12. Violet grabs the morningstar at her waist, and catches the zombie flat-footed, before he's truly ready for combat, aiming straight for the zombie's brains with her morningstar.

    Total:17

    Total:25 Damage. BADASS!

Violet's morningstar smashes the zombie in the head and red, white, and grey shards fly in a bright spray of zombie brain. Before he can even get to his feet, the zombie is no longer able to retaliate.

  13. So, unfortunately, I realized after I posted that I can't take vital strike yet. I'm not quite badass enough yet. However, that only takes away 4 damage, still plenty to kill him. Sorry. It won't happen again.

  14. As the body slumps to the ground, Violet sees two other corpses rising up to attack her. The first has burned flesh all along his left side, and is on the southeast side of the arena, where he had been laying on top of the fallen fence of the arena. The other one is a little farther out from the arena on the south side, having somehow gotten caught up in a burning tent. This second was a female in life, and the blackened remains of what was once a beautiful head of red hair give the creature a look as if she is just badly burned, contrasting with its pale white, undead skin.

Violet goes first, moving quickly over to the first zombie, and attacking. She clobbers it with her morningstar, and hits it in the chest, right at the collarbone, causing its head, arms, and torso to fly in different directions.

  17. The third zombie gets an attack on her (denying her a nice sneak attack, no less!) and his lumbering attack misses by quite a lot as Violet dodges.

    Attack: Roll(1d20)+4:

  18. She retaliates, clobbering the zombie in the arm, but though this one appears to be hurt, he presses on.

  19. The battle goes back and forth, with Violet clobbering away and the zombie standing there and vainly trying to rib her flesh off of her bones, hitting her only once before she eventually beats him into submission and he falls to the ground, dead once more. Read the account with rolls and damage, on the combat 3 spreadsheet. I will be gone until January 5th, and probably won't be checking email or much else until then. Hope everything goes well until then. :)

  20. Several onlookers have gathered around the arena. Even in the midst of rising undead, a destroyed camp, and general mayhem, it seems the orcs still don't mind a little bit of bloodsport.
"You fight well." One of the orcs called out while clapping in appreciation.

  21. Violet looks around to make sure there are no other adversaries on the field of battle. Seeing none, she cleans off her morningstar on a corpse nearby and grunts at the orc that called out. Seeing that there was not much left of the first or second zombie, she stooped down to investigate the third zombie, looking for any identifying marks.

  22. The third zombie is was once an older woman with long gray hair, and the deep ornate tattoos of a high wizard of Thay. Underneath the dark cloth that they used to disguise themselves is a bright red wizards cloak.

  23. Seeing that this threat has been dealt with, Violet decides to make a quick check on Darvin and Nym before going back to work on her alchemy. She heads over to the field to quickly see if they are still involved in their extracurricular activities, this time just looking from the edge of the field.

As with all things, Violet sneaks to the edge of the field to peer out.

    Stealth: Roll(1d20)+18:
    17,+18

    Perception: Roll(1d20)+11:
    1,+11
    Total:12 That was a 1 on perception...

  24. Violet sneaked out of the camp without too many problems. There didn't appear to be anymore of the zombie creatures, and no one else seemed to pay her any heed. When she reached to the spot in the field she squatted in the grass in order to hide herself while she gazed out into the field. However, as she did several blades of grass poked her eyes causing her to squeal in pain!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Not able to see anything because of the bothersome grass, Violet attempts to sneak a little closer and see if Darvin and Nym are in fact still in the meadow.

    Stealth: Roll(1d20)+16:
    20,+16
Total:36 That includes a -2 for being blinded by a piece of grass...

    Perception: Roll(1d20)+9:
    12,+9
Total:21 The same -2 was included here.

  26. Her eyes still squinted in pain Violet is able to see several armed forms surrounding the clearing where Nym and Darvin had consummated their... whatever it is that they consummated. Several more forms are hiding in the grass. After a moment she sees Nym take off at a run, moving quickly until arrows pierce her legs and make her move less quickly. At that same moment Violet notices that a large man steps up out of the grass and approaches her with what appears to be a trident and some sort of net.

  27. May I roll initiative and join them?
