...And Don't Know Why

Gurkirat and Grumbleshanks followed the men, noting that they were being led to the very place the man in the market had shakily pointed them too. The area was filled with rather ornately decorated buildings that looked like they weathered the earthquake slightly better than the rest of the city. They were led to a building that didn't stand out from those around it too much, but was impressive nonetheless.

As they approached the door, it swung open, held by a young elven maid, who gestured them in. They walked down a short hallway and into a large chamber meant for holding audiences. Here their two guides bowed their way out and closed the door behind them. There was a large, oval table set with the wide side perpendicular to them at the opposite end of the room from where they entered with chairs set around it. Only one chair was set on the side opposite them, but the side closest to them held 10 chairs, all human sized. There were large plants in vases around the room, and as they looked around they saw two cots laid out with people laid out upon them. One of the bodies looked to be elven, and the other appeared to be a half-elf. Both were breathing very deeply and evenly, with sheets drawn up to their shoulders.

As soon as they saw the two bodies on the cots, the door they had just come through opened again. As they turned, the man who walked through. He was followed shortly by a cat, and upon seeing them, said, "My name is Beranhond. Who are you?"

  1. Beranhond wouldn't tell them his name... he doesn't people to call him by that.

He would actually say something more like this:

"Welcome, my name is Beranhond, who are you?"

He is generally trying to keep Narath on the DL for now... only pulling her out in tight situations.

  2. So, who's motive is he sensing?

  3. Also, can I use perception to find out stuff about Beranhond? My sense motive is pretty shitty.

  4. Darvin should be waking up any time. If you would like to take control of that, you may, Nick.

The sense motive was of Starkad, the guy that was bringing Bernahond to this place.

Yes, Evan, you may use your perception to find out things about him. You have a lot of knowledge skills, as well, so you can use those, too. They will give you different information than a sense motive check would give, but you can still get info.
