As the night calls

Talathel looked down on Darvin as the half-elf slowly came to. He laid out his concerns. People were scared of the mention of Marty. Who pays 20 gold a body to two strangers?

"Relax, this is just some easy task that will help us on our road to adventuring. Besides, you're poor. Not going to start a new Old Order Monastery at the World's Spine with five gold," said Darvin.

"The Old Order's name should not be tainted with dirty money!" Talathel protested. His body tensed, there were flashbacks to training sessions in the Monastery. Talathel closed his eyes, trying to squelch the fire that had burned in them.

"No one said the money's dirty. You said it yourself, that these creatures may be a danger to the people. Think of it as lending the security forces a hand," said Darvin, who noticing the anger in Talathel's rather loud defense of his sect, had ever so slightly put his hand on one of his cutlasses.

"And we can't go to them why?" The elf did his best to calm his tone.

"Because they don't pay 20 gold."

"I'm not so sure Marty will either," Talathel said under his breath. But it was settled, and he and Darvin were soon on their way to the sewers.

  1. The sewers in Baldur's Gate are entered via a grate and a 10 foot drop. There are entrances throughout the city, though. Anywhere in particular you'd like to enter? And what are you going to look for/how are you going to go about trying to get a body?

  2. I would say we enter through the main grate. I guess we're just going to see what we can find.
