To dungeons deep and caverns old...

"This probably isn't a good idea Tigrisclawu... but let's go see where this rift leads. If nothing else we can carry some of the priests out and into the light for a proper burial." Tigrisclawu nodded, before rubbing himself against Beranhond's legs and purring.
"Silly cat." He said while scratching the purring cat's head.
He spent the next half and hour pulling the dead priests from the wreckage and ruin, placing them in the square, and covering their eyes.
Once all the bodies he could find were out in the square he knelt down and prayed for them. Tigrisclawu, being a devoted follower of Narath, naturally joined. "Narath give you piece, and Luthadel give you promise. May your past life be a memory and your new life a promise." He, for good measure, also thanked Narath for her miracle and prayed for her continued guidance.
At long last he was ready to approach the aperture of darkness. That is a silly way to describe this hole into the earth Beranhond... and you are talking to yourself too much lately. He thought to himself. I think we need to find a group to join up with - we can't live on meager savings forever. As he stepped down the stairs into the cavern he sees...

The cavern runs both left and right from the bottom of the scree that Beranhond crawled down. The cavern appears to be man-made, and the walls are coated with a variety of starfish, snails, and other small sea creatures, most likely washed here with the wave. A shallow stream of some sort of liquid runs in the bottom of the cave, and from the smell it is urine diluted with seawater.

"It appears I have found the sewers," Beranhond mutters to himself, forgetting for the moment his resolution to talk to himself less. In the distance, he thought he heard a movement, and took care to not be seen by whatever might be around as he peered into the tunnels. In the light coming from the hole, Beranhond could see that the tunnel on his right seemed to travel for about 10 feet before turning sharply the the left and being lost from view. As he inspected the tunnel to his right, it seemed to Beranhond that the stench of decay was stronger down this way. To the left, the tunnel ran straight off into the dark, and whatever movement he might have heard seemed to be coming from the this fork.
