Clarification on Posting

I have been asked to clarify how I would like conversations and such to go as we come together and such, so here is a bit more guidance.
  • Each player has final authority over their character.
    • That is, if Darvin decides that he wants to punch Talathel, that is his prerogative, but he doesn't get to decide how Talathel reacts or just say "I punched Talathel," and have it be so.
  • If your character is involved in a conversation with another character, please respond in character with new posts.
    • You guys have done pretty well at this, so it's not a big deal. Just clarifying. Comments are considered out of character except for battles, which are described below.
    • I know that the conversation may take up a good amount of space and posts, but the older ones are not going anywhere, and you are still advancing the plot with your conversation, regardless of how mundane it is.
    • If you really get annoyed at how long your conversation is and want to copy and paste the whole thing into one post, you may, once the conversation is over.
    • The biggest problem is that when you edit a post to update it with more info, nobody is notified, so if they've already read it, you need to post a comment at least to let them know you have edited it, and a long string of comments saying "I've updated it," gets really old.
  • For battle, we will conduct the battle in comments, and then edit them back into the post when all is said and done, so that battles don't take pages and pages, and because it will be nice to have a battle in an easy to find post describing the whole thing.
