In a Hurry to Get Things Done

The man in dark leathers. He smells of stink and filth.

As Darvin and Talathel walked down the tunnel, they came to a T, with the tunnel running off in the darkness to both the right and left directions. The three men they had been following had gotten a bit ahead of them, and in the darkness, they hadn't seen which way they had gone. As they stepped into the fork to try to see if they could see which way Starks and company had gone, another man stepped out of the shadows in the tunnel to their left and began to speak. "Hello, my courageous adventurous friends. Before we get too far, I would just like you both to know that I'm very, sincerely sorry for this."

Talathel gave him a suspicious glare, "Sorry for what?"

"This," the man simply replied, as Starks and his two companions swiftly grabbed them from behind and put gags over their mouths. A sickeningly sweet aroma permeated their nostrils, and both were rendered unconscious in very short order.

  1. I'm not trying to malign the fellow, but hey, he hangs out in the sewers all the time. It's inevitable.
