"I really don't like this. And I don't think I trust that Marty fellow either." says Talathel in a last ditch effort of protest.
"*sigh* Really? Do we have to go over this again? You have no money. We don't know anyone in this city other than Marty. And this could go a long way towards us making a name for ourselves. Plus the security forces are busy trying to keep everything in order after the tsunami. We are doing a public service." Darvin says this with such confidence and so matter of factly, that Talathel realizes there is no point in arguing anymore.
Darvin finally gets the manhole cover open and it scrapes across the cobblestones of the street. The half-elf peers into the darkness and sees nothing noteworthy. So, without a sound he drops into the sewers. Talathel follows. The two friends take in their new surroundings.
Perception check:
Darvin - 19+3=22
Talathel - 15+7=22
Take it away Dan...
I am going to laugh so hard when this ends badly...thought the elf.
ReplyDeleteI'm going to laugh when you realize that you just dropped 10 feet into the sewers without leaving yourselves a rope or some other way out. I suppose there may be something down there to help you get back up, but you didn't even look first.
ReplyDeleteFools!
Mua ha ha ha ha ha ha!
Sorry, you weren't supposed to hear that... :D
Our half elf hero is the one with the grappling hook.
ReplyDeleteIt won't matter because we will be exiting where the row boat is waiting for us.
