Attacking for Nick (since you said you just wanted an assumption), with grammar corrected.
Charging forward with the cutlass Darvin swung his left with a downward slashing force while bringing his right cutlass in an upward thrust. The downward slash put a deep gash in the decaying flesh, while the thrusting blade went through the creatures back. He pulled out the swords and spun to deflect any counter attack.

A note on two weapon fighting:
ReplyDeleteDarvin gets a -2 to each hand when two-weapon fighting right now.
Explanation:
Normally a character gets -6/-10 when fighting with two weapons.
A light weapon in the off-hand decreases both of these penalties by two, making it -4/-8.
Two weapon fighting decreases the primary hand penalty by 2 and off-hand penalty by 6, making it -2/-2.
He still hits, even with those lower rolls, but just so you know for the future.
Once Darvin and Talathel had attacked, Thjodolf rushed up beside Darvin, and swung his light mace at the creature.

Epic Fail! Thjodolf swing very wide, and connected with the wall to his right, leaving a gouge in the stone and making a loud clang.
The other two henchmen both aimed their crossbows, and fired.

It also has energy drain, so Darvin, you gain a negative level. This means you lose a level of ranger until either 24 hours have passed or the negative level is removed by a spell, such as restoration.
The wraith hits Darvin dead on, and he seems to be shaken by the hit, moreso than he should be by a simple blow to the face.
Darvin and Beranhond, it is your turn in combat.
ReplyDeleteDoes energy drain have a fortitude check to go along with it? Or do they consider that a 'spell.'
ReplyDeleteGood catch. It has a check, but it doesn't say what it should be checked against. I guess Fortitude makes sense. Darvin, could you give me a fortitude check?
