He thought about what their little group could do with a ship: the places they could go, the world they would see, the adventures they would have. At this moment Darvin noticed Nym scrambling up the gang plank and he hurried to join her on the deck. As he walked onto the ship he saw Nym standing at the rail on the far side staring into the water. He slowly walked towards her.
"Darvin..." She said as he came up behind her.
"Yes?" He half asked.
"Thank you for dancing with me. No one has ever asked me to dance before, at least no one I wanted to ask me anyway. There was this one time..." Nym was about to break into one of her tangents and Darvin knew it. This however was not the time for a tangent. The way the moon reflected off the water and onto Nym made her more beautiful than ever. And if Darvin hadn't fallen for her in the weeks leading up to the party, he definitely had now.
"You're welcome. It was my absolute pleasure." Darvin said as he wrapped his arms around her from behind.
Would you like a description of the ship?

Dear Erin,
ReplyDeleteComing right up.
-Your humble DM.
don't forget to describe what was on the dead bodies
ReplyDeleteThe Sea Star is a Caravel, capable of both river and sea travel. The tsunami obviously damaged her, but the Mizzen mast has been replaced and the hull has been cleaned, mended, and freshly resealed and painted. The sails have been mostly patched, but still need a bit of work (10 hp damage to Main sail, 5 to Mizzen and Bonaventure). The deck has been mostly repaired as well, but the railing has some remaining damage (8 hp) and there are two boards that need to be replaced (5 hp each). The ship can hold up to 40 creatures, and needs at least 9 sailors on board for a skeleton crew. In order to be considered a sailor, one needs at least +4 to Profession (sailing) or a related profession.

How thorough are you inspecting the ship at this time? What areas are you checking/what are you looking for?
