Waking up in Vegas... I mean on a ship.

Beranhond, after finding a hammock in the storage hold mounted it on the hooks in the office. He climbed into it and tried to sleep, but the rocking off the boat and the stuff air did not help. So, he instead climbed to the quarterdeck and tied off his hammock. It was marginally better, but instead of stuffy air he got to enjoy the sounds of Nym's horse neighing throughout the night. However, he finally fell asleep, for a couple of hours, before waking up at dawn.

(I was calling the dc for this one 10 as it is still in port)

He felt queasy, but after a cup of water he felt better. He saw that most of the ships company had spent the night on deck as well - which was wise given that the weather was still fair and that the bunks were quite narrow. He woke up the more religious and led a prayer service before getting started on the watch rotations.

  1. Where did the seasick rules you're using come from? I don't remember now... Thanks.

  2. I just made them up based upon his background. I will look for more specific ones for when we get into storms and such. I figured since it was just a gentle rocking and in a boat it wasn't that big of a deal.

  3. Okay. Fortitude is definitely reasonable, but I may have made the DC only 5.

  4. I will probably use the rules out of Broadsides, on page 12. They seem pretty reasonable. I will have to modify them a bit, since we aren't using the "Sea Legs" skill.

  5. I also need to make a map of currents and prevailing winds before you all begin any voyages. That will help a lot later down the line...
