Post Worm

The worm spasmed from the blast and raised its head.
"I remember the chambers of my youth, long hours spent cuddled with my parents and my brothers and sisters. I traveled for much of my youth digging and tunneling through the world. I found many beautiful things and killed many who threatened me. Alas, I was often filled with vanity and greed. But I was not alone in this and as I look at your spirits floating in the air I can see that we are not so different." It gasped for air. "As I lay dying I fear that I found little meaning in my life, but I suspect that others will find even less, but as I leave you I must ask - did killing me help you to find any for yourselves?" With that it collapsed and hit the ground split neatly into two. From inside the carcass you see what appears to be four very large gems.

  2. "DARVIN!" Nym cried out as the worm died epically. He wasn't looking very well after being bitten twice by the worm. She ran up to him and inspected his wounds frantically. "If only we were on the ship! I have some herbs to stop the bleeding and sterilize this..." She had already turned and started running toward the sea while saying this. She ripped the hem off her nightgown and soaked it in the salt water before running back over to Darvin. "This is going to sting," she said as she squeezed salt water onto his bites. "Do you know where I might find a bit of birch or a bit of ginger?" she asked Druuv.
