The Fall

As Nym pressed the rag to one of his many bleeding, open wounds, Darvin noticed that everything was starting to spin. He looked over at his friend Talathel and saw that he was a nice oblong shape. The goblin woman was looking uglier than usual and it was getting darker. And right after that, Darvin lost all consciousness and slumped to the ground.

  1. "Birch? Cedar? Please describe. Then maybe, I can provide." Druuv responded.

"The village by the tower might have something that could help," she offered, as an alternative.

  2. Nym's mind swirled with different methods for stoping Darvin's bleeding, easing his pain, and forcing him back into conciousness. Since Druuv seemed confused about what Birch was and there was a purple forest within view. "How far is the village?" asked Nym. She ripped a few more pieces from the bottom of her nightgown to tie off some of Darvin's wounds for the time.

  3. "If you're in a hurry, I know a way to scurry! But you may not like it very much..." Druuv said, scratching her ear. "We need to gather what we can and make a huge fire, to begin with..." With that, she began grabbing wooden beams and putting them all in a pile on the beach.

  4. Without question, Nym followed suit. She told Pipper to let her know if there was any change with Darvin while she moved wood with Druuv.

  5. Guybrush also joined in using his hands to haul smaller pieces of wood to the pyre.

  6. Talathel gathered up some smaller sticks to use as kindling. Thakalakan's help in killing the worm had eased his notions somewhat, but he was somewhat skeptical of how building a fire would get them to a village and help Darvin. While gathering wood he stopped near Darvin and knelt beside him to give some words of encouragement. He thought about Nym's reaction to the incident.

"You'll be alright, in more ways than one." With that, he through some more brush into the pile and awaited the results of Killink's labor.

  7. As the group got to work, Druuv bent and used her flint and steel with a bit of tinder from her pocket to start a small fire in the wood. In a very short time, with a bit of help, the fire became a roaring bonfire.

Once the fire became very large, Druuv gathered everyone together, and cleared her throat. "Err-hem. Hello? Are we all here? Are you all listening to me?"

  8. I think this must be built into our minds in this place!

  9. Seeming nervous that the silence was dragging on too long, Druuv continued, "Of course you're all here. Of course you are. Anyway, now all you have to do is run from over there," she pointed at the water, opposite the direction of the village, "And jump over the fire, yelling 'Cabbage and Brussel Sprouts!'"

  10. Druuv looked at them all intently, nervously waiting for someone else to say something. Silence seemed to unnerve her.

  11. Nym looked over to unconscious Darvin and then to Talathel, Guybrush, and Druuv. "Well, we'd better each grab a limb and get to it." Nym tied Pipper to her back with a few spare strips she'd ripped from her nightgown. She gently lifted Darvin's arm and supported his head while the others each grabbed a limb as well. "Ready?" she asked. "On the count of three. One. Two. THREE!" They all jumped over the fire yelling "Cabbage and Brussel Sprouts!"

  12. Do we have to do a jump check or anything?
