Apothecary

As you open the door to the Apothecary you return to the pleasant meadow. As you step inside the door you feel soft grass beneath your feet and a fresh sweet smell of nature.
"Hello! Have you returned to settle your debts?" The female centaur says turning and smiling at you.

  1. "Yes," said Nym smiling. Pipper looked up at Nym and cocked his head to one side. "I'm hungry momma," he said.

  2. "Wonderful." She said smiling. "How well versed are you in healing plants?" While she said this she grabbed a small bit of a nut and set it down for Pipper. "Eat well my friend - this is a place of peace and thus I can't offer you flesh, but I can offer you a nut that the tree freely gives."

  3. "Very," responded Nym as she watched Pipper eat the nut. "But I'm not from this plane, which may make things.... interesting," Nym looked up at the centaur smiling.

  4. "Well, I am sure you will do fine. Now, I am running low on a few essential ingredients that haven't come into town recently, so if you would be so kind as to gather some from the forests in the surrounding region that would be wonderful." She goes onto describe several varieties of plants you are familiar with, but one that she calls "tempest bloom" that you are not. "I am sure you will recognize it... it is somewhat sentient and I just need you to gather some of its sap." Don't forget to bring some fire making supplies with you also.

  5. Nym nodded and took the sack filled with jars bags for collecting and slung it over her shoulder. Nym and Pipper headed out of town toward the forest. As they went, Nym collected firewood. "Good thing I AM fire making supplies," Nym said to Pipper, laughing. Pipper laughed too as he chased grasshoppers and flies never straying too far from Nym's side.

  6. As you look around you realize that the village has disappeared on you. However the pink and purple forest seems peaceful enough.

  7. "MOMMA!! The village is gone!" yelled Pipper. "Yes, Pips, I half expected that to happen... it's alright. You can keep chasing bugs," replied Nym. With this little reassurance, Pipper went back to chasing bugs. He was only a puppy, after all.

  8. As they walked toward the forest, Nym collected wood for making a fire and dried grass for kindling, which she tied to the sack.

  11. After a half an hour you have gathered all but the tempest bloom. After another half an hour you come across a large plant with an open mouth, large sharp teeth, and a series of odd looking tentacles coming out from its base.

  12. and no, this is not a japanese raping tentacle plant. The ends of the tentacles have do not odd penises on them...

  14. Nym stood looking at the plant out of reach of the tentacles for several moments. "Pipper, stay over here," she said, pointing to a spot behind her. Pipper laid down on the ground, tired from bug chasing. Then Nym turned back to the plant. "Excuse me!" she said loudly, "Are you a tempest bloom?"

  15. Yeah. I've never understood why those are so prevalent or really understood what there is that is sexy about watching a woman raped by a plant or an octopus. I just don't get it.

  16. "I see my fame precedes me." It says in an oddly sweet and soothing voice. "You are quite the pretty things yourself. What do they call you?"

Nym smiled, "I'm Nym and this is Pipper. I need to collect a bit of sap from you for healing. Is there something I could trade you for a bit of sap?"

    ReplyDelete
  18. The Tempest Bloom frowns, "moving straight to negotiations are we? Well, to be honest... I could trade some sap for your blood!"

  19. From the plant's lack of movement, and its response, you don't suspect any immediate danger - it seems more like a plant that plays with its food.

  20. Nym laughed, "I guess I am! That sounds like a fair trade, though." Nym took a piece of jagged wood for fire from the sack and cut her hand. She the removed the small jar for collecting sap and approached the plant slowly with her cut hand outstretched. She watched carefully for any sudden movements from the plant as she smiled and asked, "How long have you been in this forest? It's very lovely. I should think you like it here; do you?"
