As the pistol shots hit the crystal it start to pulsate. From the back of the stairs you hear the stampede of feet. The stunned shadowcasters writhe in their chairs as a group of elves burst into the room. As Kilink turns to look they see the Elven Queen and Illuvaen leading a host of oddly armed Elves.
"We have come to end this." He says thrusting a sword upward. The host starts to run and hack at the stunned shadowcasters. While they do this Illuvaen runs up to Kilink.
"Hurry - reinforcements will arrive soon and we don't know if they can shut down the dreamgate. Go through the dreamgate, we will destroy the Crystal and finish off the Shadowcasters - you just worry about getting home."

Upon seeing the elves and hearing Illuvaen's instructions, Darvin looks down at Druuv. "Well, my friend, thank you for all that you have done for us. If it wasn't for you, that giant worm would have been the end of me. Thank you. Until we meet again!" Darvin turned towards his traveling companions and nodded. After one final check to make sure Guybrush was securely in his backpack, he took a deep breath, started to yell, "Ahhhhhh!" and took off a dead sprint towards the dreamgate. As he got close he launched himself into the air...
ReplyDeleteTalathel shrugged and thought that the battle was a little anti-climactic. He took a swig from the replacement flask he got in the village, shook hands with Illuvaen and dashed toward the dream gate. He had to jump out of the way of a fallen shadowcaster, but eventually he dived through the bluish haze of the dreamgate.

"Thank you for everything."
"You are welcome my dear - I wish you the best in your homeworld."
He leaned in and kissed Nym's forehead.
"Go in peace." He then turned and pulled out his sword and dove into the fray. She turned to Druuv, hugged her.
"You are an odd person... but it has been wonderful traveling with you."
"You as well! Keep safe and don't forget to be as weird as you can be!"
She then turned and dashed out and through the dreamgate.
