The Final Chamber

Please post in this one now

The room is quite large - but it is impossible to see the walls of the room. Fifteen on front of you a group of cloaked figures sit surrounding a large red crystal. Fifteen feet behind them is what looks like an ornate mirror, but within it is a hazy bluish glow.

Nym nervously looked around as the hooded figures talked. The gate wasn't too far away and she suspected that they could make it if necessary. However, she remembered that they had promised Doehn and the elves that they would destroy the crystal... if only there was a distraction.

As soon as she finished this a voice came from the darkness.
"My lords, the elven queen has escaped from her cell."
The dark figures turned towards the voice. "How did she do that? How is that possible?"

They are distracted now - with enough stealth/bluff you could probably do one round of action without any repercussions.

  2. Noticing that their captors are distracted, Darvin slowly grips the handles of his pistols and cocks them.

  3. Talathel looks back at Darvin. "I guess that bastard is good for something." He grips his kama, still hidden in his robes, and looks for the opportunity to strike.

Also...what is our goal here? Did we ever decide? Are we destroying the dream gate? Using it? Learning about it?

  4. That is up to you naturally - at a run you most likely could make it through the dream gate before any attacks happened. I can guarantee that if you use a hero point you can slip through without any attacks. Of course, Druuv can't go through so she would be left in the chamber alone.

You do have a move action before they do so you could concentrate your attack on the crystal before they respond. Of course, after that it will become a normal battle.

  5. Once everyone else has had a chance to make their moves, Druuv steps up closer to the shadowcasters and casts Color Spray at them, trying very hard to catch them all in the spray.

  6. Combat sheet is up. Initiative order for y'all doesn't matter this time. I will have you go then the enemies will go. If you don't post an attack within a day I will post it for you. Druuv can go ahead and attack with the spell whenever she wants.

  8. Darvin quickly draws his pistols, aims, and fires at the crystal.

    Attack #1:
    Roll(1d20)+6:
    16,+6
    Total:22
    Hit!

    Damage:
    Roll(1d6)+0:
    6,+0
    Total:6

    Attack #2:
    Roll(1d20)+6:
    13,+6
    Total:19
    Hit!

    Damage:
    Roll(1d6)+0:

Both shots meet their mark and shards of crystal flake off onto the floor of the chamber.
