I am just going to assume that Darvin and Nym made their way on back to the bed and then rode it up to their room.
"Wake up Darvin." A mellow voice said in his head. "You have a big day ahead of you."
What? He thought to himself. Right... the sword.
Darvin looked over and saw Nym still sleeping next to him. He rubbed her shoulders for a moment before looking out the window. The sky was a perfect blue, and the sun was sending golden rays in through the window.

Darvin got out of bed and stretched. He looked across the room and saw Guybrush and Pipper waking up after being curled up together in a chair. Darvin chuckled.
ReplyDelete"Ahoy there Captain," Said Guybrush, "Where might you have been?"
Darvin looked at his small friend and said, "You wouldn't believe me if I told you."
Guybrush looked thoughtful for a moment.
ReplyDelete"Well, I see you have a new sword. So it must have been some kind of adventure." He jumped from the chair and stretched out.
"What are the plans for today?"
Nym listed to Darvin and Guybrush talk while still laying in bed, pretending to sleep. She didn't want to deal with the world quite yet. She felt Pipper hop up on the bed and curl up against her back.

ReplyDeleteThere was a pounding on the door. Nym continued to pretend to sleep and Darvin was unsure what to do.
After a second the door burst open and Grumbleshanks stepped inside.
"Darvin, I need your help with something."
Darvin looked at Grumbleshanks and sighed, "To what do I owe this great pleasure?" Grumbleshanks said nothing and walked out of the room. Darvin sighed again and started to follow. He stopped and looked at Guybrush, "Wake Nym up and tell her to join us please." And whit that Darvin followed the halfling. Guybrush called after Darvin, "Can I fling poo at her?" However, Darvin didn't hear him.
ReplyDeleteAs Darvin disappeared through the door after Grumbleyplanks and Guybrush walked toward Nym, she sat up saying, "I'm awake! Grubmbleyplanks' stink is enough to wake the dead." Nym smiled, her eyes gleaming with mischief as she hopped out of bed and ran out the door after Darvin.
ReplyDeleteGrumbleshanks led Darvin and Nym outsider where several villagers waited with pitchforks and pikes.
ReplyDelete"Thanks for letting me grab my companions." Grumbleshanks said. He turned toward Darvin.
"I guess there is a law about loitering around here. I have to go see the margravine. You are more charismatic than I am, so I thought you would be more help than myself."
Darvin tried to stifle a laugh.
The villagers led the small group to a small house and opened the door.
Inside, Darvin and Nym saw Violet, the woman who had offered to let them stay at their place, and an elf woman clad in robes.
