Through the city

Talathel entered the city of Baldur's Gate. After years away, he had returned. Baldur's Gate was where his adventuring had began. As he walked through the streets, he remembered the battle against the Rat Queen beneath the streets. Beyond that had been a blur, had been an alcoholic vision of various battles, journeys, inns, and friends.

He found himself, almost without thinking, at the door of Milway's. It was here that he had met Lailsan. He had not heard from her since she had gone home to the Moonshae Isles. Of course, he had been travelling. No one could get a hold of him. He wondered if she had tried. He hadn't.

He debated going in, but for what? Lailsan would not be there and he had no money. And besides, when was the last time that he had drunk rum or anything else? He hadn't missed it that much.

He waited outside Milways, waiting for some sign of where he should go next. But, the only place that stood out to him was the docks. Not finding much in terms of signs, he headed that way.

The Lady Narath had aged a bit, he thought, but was still in good shape. Darvin had treated it well. Did he have a crew of any type? Talathel stopped at the gang plank. He could see no one on the deck. He cleared his throat and shouted at the ship.

"Captain Darvin! An old friend requests an audience with you!"

  2. (That's OK, I'll leave some questions/comments tonight, as apparently Darvin and co. have already left the ship).

  3. (Whoops, I posted in the other post before I read this one. Um...I will answer Talathel after Beranhond responds to Darvin?)

  4. "Perfect, because we need a pirate and a sea captain. Violet had been looking for a mask that should help us turn around everything. So, if you are ready, lets go track her down and start this adventure," Beranhond had said to Darvin.

Just as he finished they heard a call from a familiar voice. Darvin was sure he was hearing things but he could tell from Beranhond's face that he had heard it too. The group walked over to the gang plank and looked down to the dock. Standing there was a weather-worn, surprisingly sober looking Talathel.

Darvin hurried down to embrace his old friend.

"Talathel! I can't believe it! Where have you been? Come tell us all about it as we go find Violet."

And with that the group of adventurers set off in search of another companion.

  5. (Talathel can interject his story as a new post when he gets a chance. I'll skip the story ahead for now to our arrival at Oden's.)

The four of them made there way through the city toward the store mentioned by the sparrow. As they traveled Talathel shared as much of his story as felt like.
Finally, that came in sight of a ramshackle building near the northern edge of town with a gaudy sign reading "oden's find provisions and sporting goods."
Evelaen looked surprised at the sign. "your friend looks like he loves color!"
Beranhond grinned, "you have no idea..." Before leading then inside the store.
