The Road goes on...

The afternoon following the Equinox Ball the Lady Narath Company met in Odin's Sporting Good store. Beranhond looked rather tired as the evening had been less dancing and more politicking than he'd prefer. Talathel and Darvin appeared to be sporting stupid grins.
"Well, thanks to Nym's work we've managed to pay off a portion of the lien. Thank's to Odin's advice I went over this morning and arranged to pay an additional fee in order for more time. So, assuming our treasure recovery goes smoothly we should be in the clear very soon." He cleared his throat.
"We have the down payment on repairs thanks to Darvin and his... romancing?" Evelaen grinned at this. "Or something."
"So, that being said, repairs should begin tomorrow. So, I think we are almost all set to set off to recover some treasure and/or goes and rescue a child. I'd hate to separate the company, but it's probably time for us to decide which path we shall take."

  2. I can fix that for you. What email do you want in there?

  4. I didn't get the updates for the last two posts either. My email I use is winslows010@gmail.com

  5. Hmm. Weird. Both of those email addresses are tagged for all email updates... Not sure why they aren't being sent to you.

  6. I noticed the only time I haven't gotten emails for a new post is when it is under stormspoutgm. Maybe that account has a different setting for its posts?

  7. Johan shrugs, his hangover-by-proxy making the bright light shining through the windows even more distractingly annoying than normal. He always got like this after topping off his blood from drunks, although given the last night's affairs, he was glad the headache was temporary rather than due to another religious keepsake on his forehead.

"I vote for the treasure-hunting. I...am not overly fond of children." He scowled, his scarred finger twitching slightly as he tapped his leg in agitation.

"If only all their voices would stop being so loud and I could get a moment to think. Why did all of my easy shape-changing forms have to have better hearing than me? Why couldn't I have picked, I don't know, a turtle or something instead?" He squinted and growled in annoyance as a passing cart outside clattered with the sound of a thunderclap on the cobblestones.

  8. Are you getting them for this post now?

  9. Very weird. This is a post by StormspoutGM, and I'm getting the emails for it, but they're coming in a different chain in gmail. Very odd.

  10. I get the comment emails for stormspoutgm but not new posts

  11. "Well, I think there's enough for two separate parties if we are willing. We'll need as much seed money as we can get." Beranhond peered around the room. "Hmm, does anyone know where Nym is?"

  12. "I would vote for treasure hunting, though Darvin, oh Darvin, why did you have to say that bit about if it goes smoothly...

At any rate, I will be meeting with a potential crew member at Milway's today."

  13. Also depending on how long repairs take, Talathel would be open to taking on some sort of job, in order to pay back Nym/not being a total bum.

  14. "Alright, we have to for the treasure hunting trip with one currently looking lost in thought." Beranhond said looking at Darvin's lustfilled face. "and one absent..." He said looking at Nym's empty seat.

  15. Darvin snapped out of his romance induced stupor.

"Yes, treasure hunting is fine. I just want to get the Lady back on the water again."

  17. "Alright, looks like the majority of us have decided on treasure hunting." He gave Talathel a quizzical look. "Potential crew member? Do tell..."

  18. "Like Darvin, I met a woman at the ball last night. Unlike Darvin, I haven't fallen head over heels in love

Because of the whole strongly hinting at being a daughter thing, but whatever, shut up.

Long story short, she is managing an estate and is growing restless in Baldur's Gate. She seemed open to it, at any rate. I told her I would meet with her this evening to see if she would accept."

  19. "Wonderful! It would be nice if she had some sailing skills, but we'll take what we can get."

  20. "She made mention of a wandering lifestyle before. I don't know if that included any time aboard a ship. You are of course welcome to accompany me to Millway's to ask her questions."

  21. "That sounds great. I might... wait... I'm not the one in charge here." Beranhond said with a bit of shock. Evelaen just laughed. "You're used to leading armies Eth, I think it comes naturally."
Beranhond sighed. "Darvin, are you planning on bringing a crewmember along too?"

  22. Talathel can go ahead and set up his... date?

Does Johann have any other plans?

  23. Darvin would like to pick up Shandri and head back to the ship to oversee any repairs.

  24. Not immediately, no. Between all the shenanigans with Mr. Shadow, the still-lingering embarrassment, and the worry that his father has sent someone or multiple someones to track him down, Johan just wants to keep his head down and put a hundred leagues of ocean between him and any possible pursuers as soon as he can.

  25. Darvin, without saying anything, smiled blissfully and made his way out of the shop.
"Well, he's in a weird way today. Still, it's an improvement."
"Talathel, go assesses this crewmember, Johan, would you mind finding Nym?"

    ReplyDelete
  26. Johan nods, and heads out to begin asking around and tracking down where Nym went, beginning with the parties near where the commoner's ball was.

Streetwise(+17): Rolled 12, so 29 to find Nym or her general location.
