Elven Camp

Darvin, Talathel, Beranhond, and a slightly amused Evelaen, made their way up along the southern side of the swollen river. After two days the river course narrowed and the water speed increased. Finally, on the third day they overheard the sounds of shovels against the soil, cussing, and a smattering of Elvish words called through the air in a opening in the trees.

  1. Do I need to roll to know what they are saying, or am I good already speaking Elvish?

  4. After what seemed like a really long time, Darvin finally had an answer for Talathel.

"I think we approach them with diplomacy first. I will go and talk to them. The rest of you hide in the bushes and cover me. If something goes wrong please step in."

Darvin made a move to go then turned and looked back at the group. He sighed and said, "Beranhond, you better come with me. There's no hiding you."

  5. Beranhond looked around at the very well hidden Evelaen, and the surprisingly well hidden Talathel.
"Hmm," He said looking down at his gleaming armor. "Yes, you're probably right about that. Besides, I suspect I speak better Elvish than you do at this point."

  9. Beranhond looks on impressed, before turning and following, clankily, along to Darvin as they approach the camp.

As they approach the camp the shovels all drop and the elves grab bows and quickly turn raising them.
"Whaad dyuu dyuu wand?" The elf says in an unusual form of elvish.
